Human health

The study included a subjective assessment questionnaire. 100 volunteers (80 females, 20 males with various skin types) participated in the research. Before and after lake clay procedures volunteers filled questionnaires about its impact on skin and hair. Before the procedure each volunteer was tested for allergic reaction. In 99% of cases there were no allergic reactions, complications and health did not worsen overall. Furthermore, some noted that commercial store-bought clay provoked allergic reactions, but lake clay did not. 1 respondent noted skin becoming dry. 97% had positive effects yet 3% had no effect (in cases of heavy acne, lentigo solaris). Volunteers stated that after 10 clay facial masks (mask every 3 days), skin became smoother and pores, redness, pigmentation, the amount of comedones and pimples reduced. After clay applications on the body skin became firmer, cellulite decreased and stretch marks became less visible. Volunteers noted that clay helped with swelling and itch in mosquito bites, promoted eczema healing. Those who used clay hair masks 1 – 2 times per week noted that hair became less oily and hair loss reduced
